Indigenous Knowledge Conference Indigenous Communities in Oaxacalifornia: August 7, 2015

Join us to learn more about the indigenous farmworkers families in the Central Valley. Hosted by Centro Binacional para el Desarrollo Indígena Oaxaqueño providing one full day of information how to better approach this population taking into account their millenary traditions and languages. We will feature panels of experts and members of the community to share their experience with us on the following subjects:

  1. Cultural Sensitivity: Mexican Indigenous Migrants
  2. Indigenous Medicine: Traditional approaching to healing
  3. Child rearing: Life experiences from the community perspective
  4. Interpreting: Language Access and the Law

The conference is useful for professionals in the Central Valley who work with members of the Oaxacan indigenous communities in areas such as health, education, employment, legal affairs, and other areas of work.
